One of the concepts our group looked to as inspiration is the suitcase house and how in this building Gary Chang makes the most of space with his innovative design. Below are some pictures of the suitcase house.
I like how different parts of the house such as the bed fold out and then the space on top of the bed can be used when the users of the space are no longer in bed.

I like how he doesn't waste space, he only uses what space he needs for each particular activity.

Another inspirational building which my group investigated was the Wyly Theatre by REX. This building is a performance theatre and was inspirational in the way that the performance space adapted to suit numerous types of performances with varying amounts and set out of seating.

The Wyly Theatre places the administration parts of the building below the performance area and all four sides of the performance space can be opened as well as various seating positions explored hence allowing numerous performances to occur within the one adaptive space. This enables them to rent out the space when it is free and earn more money for the building.
